Normally I hate Amazon reviews that are about the shipping experience rather than the product, but since I'm not the first to have this problem I think customers should know. The item arrived without the "feet" that are supposed to prevent damage to the roof and floor of the cargo area. The box was beaten up and opened & re-taped--I don't care about how the packaging looks, but it means that it's not the factory losing parts but the company reselling the barrier. Amazon's affiliate for this product apparently regularly ships incomplete barriers, and I would recommend not purchasing from them.

When I received the first order of the pet barrier, it was missing one of the foot for the vertical bars. I was disappointed in the cheap quality of the metal, but thought I'd live with what I ordered. I had to get some tape, find UPS, and send it back myself. When the replacement order arrived, it had only one foot. I wished I hadn't sent back the original because I realized I would have the 4 feet that were needed. Meantime, it came time for the surgery that my dog needed. I had to drive him 45mins to get home while he was still 'drunk' from the anesthesia. By the time we were home he had damaged the surgery site and made a mess of the upholstery. Bottom line, I didn't have the item when I really needed it and consoled myself that I wouldn't want to look at something with that cheap quality day in and day out, anyway.

very easy to install, works great and nice looking. Keeps clean unlike nylon or other fabric barriers.
I ordered a Kurgo nylon 'easy install' barrier first...after an hour of fudging with it in the blistering heat i never managed to get it fully intalled. Mostly due to the fact that it has to be wrapped around little parts of the seat in various points which were inaccessible in my mini cooper. After you put this one together it just slides into place using pressure springs.
id say its so easy that its foolproof, and worth every penny.

Great product for the price. Installed easily and fit well in our 2010 Mazda CX-9. Works well as is out of the box but if you have a persistent dog you may decide to modify it so the cross bars won't slide down so easily. A couple of circle clamps made it so our 80 pound Weimeraner could not force the horizontal bars down with his head. Does not rattle or damage inside of the vehicle.

Great product! Took me 15 minutes tops to assemble and install by myself; fits in my RAV4 with no problems.
Has kept my fractious Chow/Lab mix in the back ever since.
