Product Description

You want to give mini-Fido a comfortable and enjoyable ride. Though it may seem like the perfect spot is curled up on your lap, this is not the case. Kurgo Pet Travel Small Canine Skybox Booster Seat offers a safe and secure alternative by providing enough elevation for mini-Fido to have a clear view of the road ahead. Kurgo Pet Travel Small Canine Skybox Booster Seat also offers a comfortable, secure padded seat to snuggle down on longer trips. The best part, is they are still within arm's reach when you have the desire to scratch their belly.

5 out of 5 stars Perfect!   April 5, 2010

I have a 6month old Papillion and Terrier who is about 12lbs...and they can both fit comfy and both can see out the window! the little one can curl up in the seat and lay down sit up and see! he is much more alert and car sickness isn't as bad! very very easy to put together and the liner does stay in place and semi easily removable for wash...However i don't really care for the pockets they are so tight to the seat its kinda hard to get in there but usable! fits to my back and front seat and adjust very easily!! i just love it!! great price for the product!

4 out of 5 stars Good buy   April 4, 2010

I decided to purchase this booster seat when I realized that my Pomeranian has really bad car anxiety. Because he gets anxious in the car, he'd try to jump in my lap (while I'm driving) to feel comforted and safe. Knowing that him being in my lap wasn't safe, and that people aren't always available to hold him, the booster seat was the best choice.

My Pomeranian took to the booster seat quickly, which was a relief. I had him investigate the seat prior to putting it in the car, and he jumped in right away. I love the fact that the seat, tether, and straps are easily adjustable and durable. My only complaint is that the "u-shaped" steel rod was somewhat difficult to insert into the plastic tubes, but it wasn't too big a deal. And yes, the booster seat does have a strong mothball smell, but the good news is that the liner and quilted pad are washable. I washed the liner and pad in cold water (on delicate) and air dried them. I also gave the seat itself time to air out (minus pad and liner). There were no problems after that. Overall, I'm satisfied with this product.

5 out of 5 stars My Yorkie LOVES her SkyBox!   March 25, 2010

Before purchasing the Kurgo SkyBox, my yorkshire terrier would prop herself up on my shoulders as my headrest while I drove. She was very scared of highway noise, and felt safest between myself and the seat. Upon buying the SkyBox, it only took her about two car rides to get used to it. I was concerned about being able to install it in my back seat since I don't have the access to my trunk from there (to be able to wrap the straps around the seat), but that ended up not being a problem. I installed it much like a baby car seat... I placed the strap around the headrest, tightened it, and the straps that would go around the seat I put in place via wrapping them around the seat, which I locked into place. It was a very easy assembly, and I feel safe with her nicely secured. She loves being able to ride around with the window down too, since I am able to secure her into place with the provided leash which attaches to her harness. Overall great buy!

I have a Yorkie that weights 3.5lbs., he loves it. It sits him high enough for him to look out the window. The only thing that I would change is the strap that hooks to the harness. I wish it was adjustable for smaller dogs(to be able to shorten). I love it because it can go in the front seat or back seat.

The Kurgo Skybox Booster Seat is a jewell. My 10 month old Chiweenie loves going bye bye in her booster seat. It is well constructed with durable hardware. My puppy is only 9 1/2 lbs, but is 14" long so it enables her to stretch out when she wants to lie down for a nap. The rods are a little hard to attach, but well worth the effort. The only down side I can report is the smell. I'm hoping time will reduce the strength of it. Fabreeze doesn't seem to help. All-in-all a great investment. I highly recommend this product. Lastly, Amazon is amazing. My purchase arrived right on time with free shipping.
