I ordered an Optima battery(appox.35lb.) in early Dec. '07, it came to me in about two weeks by UPS, no problem(I thought). As soon as the driver brought the box to the door of his truck I knew something was not good! The bottom of the box was torn all the way along one side and had been re-taped at the bottom on an adjoining end. With the UPS driver waiting at my request, I opened the badly torn box(so he could witness the damage). To my surprise the ONLY cushion in the box was four of the large(appox.4/5" sq.)bubble pack, of which THREE were deflated(probably from the fall or drop of the box) Oh there's more! when I lifted the battery out of the box, one corner and one side of the bottom of the base was clearly broke and possibly may have damaged the hard case of one cell. The UPS drive said I couldn't send it back. so I called Amazon, No problem, I told the Rep. about the packaging and damage AND even suggested that Optima package this heavy item with styrofoam ends or corners(like TVs and DVD players, etc.) The Amazon Rep. was very nice and ask me to dispose of the damaged battery at a battery disposing site and he got me another battery on the way right then. The new(2nd.) battery came almost two days before I expected it. Great! The box looked fairly good(for UPS), so I took the box, UPS guy left, I opened it.. PACKAGED THE SAME @*?#>@ WAY as the first one!! I inspected it close, sure enough there was a crack on one corner of the base of the battery, fortunate that was all. I'm going to use it, but OPTIMA dose need to do better packaging on these batteries! I still like and recommend Amazon.com!

I own a Mazda RX-8 with quite a bit of aftermarket accessories such as audio and video. These yellow top batteries are hard to find and have to be special ordered to fit the Mazda RX-8. The Yellowtop 35 is the right fit. :)
