Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The permanent solution to sun-faded bumpers and trim moldings. Forever Black restores a dark, black, finish on sun-faded bumpers and body moldings. This is not a cosmetic dressing. It's an easy-to-use permanent dye. It permanently colors black plastic, rubber and vinyl with the same polymers that the manufacturers use. It is not a silicone dressing - silicone products will make plastic, vinyl and rubber appear to have regained their color but the change is temporary. Plus, silicone oils have been known to dry out the applied areas creating a bigger problem. Silicone also tends to leave a greasy residue even after buffing.

5 out of 5 stars What Can I Say ?   December 13, 2008

This product definately lives up to it's advertisment. My trucks black plastic molding and bumper was faded from the sun, I applied this to it ( 3-4 coats ) and I must say it turned out very nicely ! A Heck of a lot cheaper than buying all new molding which would have cost hundreds.

This stuff worked great on my 01 xterra. It doesn't wash off either and seems like it will last a while. Just be sure to put it on very evenly because it will look very bad and streaky if you don't take your time.

5 out of 5 stars Simply A Must Buy for Grey Bumpers   July 25, 2008

"After going through all the reviews I bought this awesome product. I just bought a used car and the bumpers of the car had turned grey. Gave this black magic a try and boom it worked flawlessly for me. One thing I want to make sure is that while applying the dye please wait for it to dry so that you know the exact darkness of black that you want to see on your car. Highly recommend this."

5 out of 5 stars WOW!!   December 3, 2007

This is an amazing product. I have a 2004 Volvo XC70 whose black bumper and other trim had faded to grey pretty badly. (I am sure many readers have seen Volvo's with trim that has faded really badly.) I used to treat the trim with Mother's Back to Black and it made the trim look great....until it rained, which caused the product to run and cause streaks in the trim...making it look even worse than before I even treated it.

The important factors in using Forever Black are preparation and patience. Preparation: The product comes packaged with a cleanser and an applicator bottle. I took my time and cleansed my trim three times, very well, with the cleanser. Then carefully I dried it. Patience: Once I started to apply the dye, the trim absorbed it like a sponge. I was concerned at first because of the rate at which the product was being absorbed; I was afraid I did not have enough product to do the job. Well, I persevered and after about 6 full applications on all of the black trim, it looked better than brand new. Plus, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the bottle of product was still about half full!

Even now, several months (and several rainfalls) later, the trim still looks better than it did when the car was new. I am in love with this product, and whenever I am out driving the car, I love the puzzled looks I get from others (especially other XC70 owners) because my car blows theirs away with its good looks. I am waiting for someone to approach me one day and ask, "What in the world did you do?"

Great job, Forever Black! You have an excellent product here. Don't stop making it!!

5 out of 5 stars This stuff Rocks!   October 18, 2007

Yup, this stuff on my flares basically made my '97 Wrangler look like new again. Since the style didn't change substantially for the next nine years and my paint's in great shape, it's indistiguishable from a new model, to the untrained eye. My flares were REALLY faded, so I needed a few coats to get the color even, but I've still got plenty left. If you look hard, there's a side-by-side test of a bunch of these out there in a Mini blog or something. This won for longevity, which is the real downfall of the others.
