This harness saved my dog's life! September 6, 2008 Heather McIntosh (Atlanta, GA) My 30 lb. dog has worn this harness for every car ride for the past 4 years. We have taken many 8 hour trips, and she has been comfortable and easily able to lie down when she wants. Recently, we were in a bad accident where the entire front of my vehicle was smashed in and everything that was loose was thrown around. She suffered some bruising and pain, but I can say without a doubt that having her in the harness saved my dog's life. The only bad thing I've found is that the buckles are a little difficult to open.
Dog car harness July 31, 2008 AvidReader (Acworth, GA United States) This is a great harness. The fleece is thick, the straps are sturdy, it's easy to get on and off and the dog doesn't mind keeping it on, either. This one is our second; the first one got so much use we had to get another for the other dog.

I bought this in a smaller size when my Sheltie was a puppy and loved it. Now she is grown and I had to get a bigger size. She loves this harness as it appears to be exceptionally comfortable.

The Dog Harness was easy to put on and adjust. I am very satisfied.
Won't help in an accident... June 14, 2006 G. Kadow (Here) 13 out of 15 found this review helpful
If you're looking for a car harness that will keep your dog safe in an accident, keep looking... This harness might work to prevent your dog from bouncing around the car and possibly distracting the driver (although I'm not even confident it would hold up for that use with a big, strong dog) but I seriously doubt it would hold up even in a mild collision. The dog is held in place using a few plastic buckles/snaps which are not even very strong-looking-- I have seen stronger snaps on regular dog collars. Plastic snaps like these would not hold up to the forces created in a collision. If you want a safety harness that will protect your dog in an accident, look for one that has actually been tested/rated similar to human car safety devices.
