This cup holder worked really well in our car. It clipped easily to the a/c vent- we use it all the time:)

My first impression was that this is an excellent choice for cup-holders for people like myself that own older cars. They are very easy to install and look good in the car. The problem comes when you try to use them. As long as you are using small to medium sized cups/bottles, you're ok but they will not accomodate either 16 oz. or 22 oz. water bottles.
As long as you're ok with drinking "Grande" not "Venti" sized coffee and can live with 12 oz. water/drink bottles, these are well worth the money.

the clip mechanism works on vertical or horizontal air-vent slots, and there is an easy level adjuster. Only one complaint is that it is not large enough for my insulated travel coffee mug. But it holds other drink containers such as water bottles and soda cans.

I could have spent $80 for a fancy complicated cup holder for my BMW E30 but this does the trick for ten bucks and it's so easy to install. Stable, too.
