Editorial Reviews:

Product Description

This heated seat cushion provides a warm seat in your vehicle, making it perfect for winter and night driving. It has a two-setting temperature control and a power indicator light. The cushion is made with cushy, quilted nylon and has elastic straps and hooks to secure it to the seat. Just plug it into the 12V cigarette lighter and you will instantly begin to feel the toasty warmth. The power cord is 6 ft, making it great for back seat use.

Assembly level/degree of difficulty: No Assembly Required. A restocking fee will be deducted if this item is returned.

4 out of 5 stars Great warmth - too much padding   October 2, 2008
The product definitely does what it says, but I'm undecided if I am going to keep it. Although, for $20 I may as well. I just started using it in my 2002 Subaru Outback Sport. It does heat up quickly and keeps you toasty, but the padding is a bit too thick for me. It sat me up much higher and further forward than I am used to. You will most likely have to do some maneuvering of your seat settings to get back to your preferred seating height.
Unfortunately it looks like all the seat heaters out there have a fair amount of padding, which I imagine is necessary to have for the heating element. I realize it is a "universal fit", but the top portion does bow forward away from the back of my bucket seat with the two straps around the back. Hopefully this will mold itself to fit better over time. Not crazy about the fit & padding, but it keeps you comfortably warm which is better than nothing! If we could choose half stars, I'd give it 3 1/2 stars.

4 out of 5 stars Hot Seat, but Straps Leave Me Cold   September 14, 2008
As noted in previous reviews, the seat heats up as advertised and was cheap. It is warmer than the fancy hot seat in our Camry. The straps broke immediately, however. For the price, I can reposition the seat. I would have given this a 5 star except for that, and even knowing that, I just may buy another!
Five stars for swift service, by the way.

5 out of 5 stars Warm and Fuzzy   July 27, 2008
A great value for the money. My wife was looking for a replacement for one she purchased many years ago while reading a catalog during a business flight. It needed to heat both back and buttocks, not add too much bulk to the car seat and not burn out after several uses. Wagan seems to be reliable and safe with a simple switch for hi/lo/off. We bought two.

5 out of 5 stars Money Well Spent   July 3, 2008
This was, without a doubt, the best fifteen dollars ever spent. After having several vehicles with heated seats I did the unthinkable and purchased a car without them. What an awful three weeks I endured until this product was delivered! This cushion heats up very quickly and is extremely comfortable on the low position. Does not shift around for us as some have mentioned probably due to the fact that I purchased a car without leather seats (another big moan from wife). Did have a problem with the straps and the seatbelt bucking heads but just ran it around the front of the seat and used the front accessory plug.

Great product and cannot recomment it highly enough.

5 out of 5 stars Good item   April 10, 2008
I read the slightly negative reviews of this item before I purchased it, but they didn't seem too bad so I went ahead. The high setting is very toasty, though the low setting doesn't really seem to do much. Considering how much the car manufacturers charge for the heated seat option, this is ideal. I did accidentally leave it plugged in and "on" one day. Someone else wrote that this would drain your battery in three hours. That didn't happen (mine was plugged in for more than 8 hours) - perhaps the battery was already weak. An "auto-off" would be a nice added feature, but other than that, it's great. I actually placed it underneath my seat cover to eliminate the "bunching". No problems.
