Makes you feel safe! January 7, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this item along with a foot care item and received free shipping from Amazon. Only problem was the foot care item came first and on time, but the Lifehammer came later, much later, like a month later. I was so upset and because of that, I will never use the free shipping option when I am buying more than one item from Amazon at once.
Since getting the Lifehammer though, I have felt so much more safe in my car, just knowing it is there is a relief. I haven't had to use the Lifehammer, thankfully, but I know that if I am ever in a situation where I need it, I'll be glad it is there. Of course, I recommend that anyone who buys it, should velcro it to a place in their car where it is easily reachable. I, myself, have yet to do so, and can only imagine being in an accident and having to tell someone that I had a potential life saving device in my car and could not reach it, but that is the next thing on my to do list.
Anyways, I think everyone should have a Lifehammer and I am even thinking of getting one for everyone in my family. Can you really afford living without one?
smaller than it looks January 7, 2008 1 out of 9 found this review helpful
This hammer is so lite and skinny it would hurt your hand to use it to break a window. The head of it is not very big or heavy.
I hope I never have to use it to tell you how wonderful it is! December 23, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The lifehammer appears to be a quality made product. It is exactly what I felt I wanted in the line of safety products in my car. I agree with all of the other sellers the mounting system is nonexistant. I purchased the sticky back velcro and mounted it on the side of the console so that it would be easily accessible by both driver and passenger. However, due to the design on the back of the case it does no sit firmly, or flush even against the velcro. If you need to remove the hammer you take the case and all in your hand. But that is okay, it will or cannot fall off as long as the velcro is used but its just not rock solid mounting as we might want. I would strongly urge everyone to use the velcro system rather than trying to tether it by a string or something. I am confident that I will access it easily should I ever need to. A must have in addition to a fire extiguisher in every car. I feel better just knowing I have it available.
Lifehammer Emergency Escape Tool October 18, 2007 I've worked private security, as well as being a former Air Force Security Policeman. I bought this for my sister last Christmas, and she was quite pleased. I thought the price was reasonable, and would recommend keeping one in your car or truck.

Saw this on MythBusters. Had lots of flooding in our area. Friend was swept away in vehicle and escaped because window was down. Then the bridge collapsed and Texas has more bridges than any other state. Need LifeHammer just in case.
