Works like a charm! June 11, 2008 Really simple to install. Perfect solution for keeping my seatbelt from cutting into my neck. I would recommend to anyone.
Nice quality, but a little bulkier than I was expecting February 6, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Very soft on the outside. I like the fact that it is smooth on the inside which makes it easier to slide it up or down the seat belt to get it where you want it, and it stays put. The pad literally has a 'pad' in it which I don't care for - it makes it a bit bulky - my chin touches the pad when I turn my head. But all in all, it's a nice quality seat belt pad.
Necessity, The Grandmother Of Invention! March 31, 2007 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
The Ergo Seat Belt Shoulder Pad is a 'MUST HAVE' car accessory for me because of my ongoing cervical problems - meaning I have 'a pain in the neck' which should not be construed as me actually being 'a pain in the neck'. Although, on a rare, very rare occassion that could be a distinct possibility! I wear my seatbelt first because I want to avoid adding unnecessary injuries to the ones I already have and second because it's the law but, I don't need to feel as if I'm being garroted when the seatbelt is against my neck! Without a doubt, the Ergo shoulder pad makes the seat belt much more comfortable to wear and they look sharp. My husband prefers using the Mossy Oak Brand Camoflauge Seat Belt Shoulder Pad covers for his truck while I prefer the less 'themed' look of these covers for my vehicle. The shoulder pads are very useful and for more than just seat belts as I have since found out. Let me explain.
I had been using the small terry cloth ones, the kid's size version, for all the belts in my car but after years of use they needed replacing. I wanted to replace them with these longer padded ones. I had just bought a new one, the last in stock at our local store, was very satisfied with it and planned on buying more. I found it very comfortable as I drove to my daughter's to babysit my grandchildren. However, I was only able to enjoy using it one time. Once there I was inspired to give it to my young grandson to use as padding for the shoulder straps of his Little League equipment bag. He proudly showed me his new bag but said that carrying the bag hurt his shoulder. I told him I had just the thing to help him. "Awesome", he said, "much better with the shoulder pad on!" He smiled! I glowed! Proud to be 'grandmother to the rescue'! We were two happy campers, I was happy to help him and he was happy his shoulder didn't hurt. Alas, happiness can be so fleeting! The saying that 'you don't miss what you don't have' might be true but, by the same token, 'you do miss what you once had and now don't', as I soon discovered. Having thrown my old ones away I was now without any. It was a very long and uncomfortable ride home and I placed a trip to the store for a replacement at the top of my to-do list. Store one was sold out. Store two was no help. Finally! Store three had one! Just one! Mine! I don't think I would have hurt anybody trying to take it ahead of me but, thankfully, I was never put to the test! ~ Mrs. B.
