The product is not good at shading sunlight. The fabric is not opaque but actually sheer, so it lets a lot of sunlight through it. There is also a lot of black fabric fringe, which absorbs heat, further raising the interior heat. Lastly, the way it is sewn together keeps it from fully opening so you can't get full coverage across the windshield.

too small for Camry or Prius... even a little too small for a Civic, but it is easy to fold.
 Needed the bigger one, but gave it to my sister January 4, 2007

It gets the job done! Covers the corners well and folds easily.
