EXCELLENT October 14, 2007 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
GREAT PRODUCT.....WITH THE GARDEN HOSE ADAPTER. BUTANE LASTS A LONG TIME...WORKS LIKE A CHARM.
It HAD BEEN a great product until it stopped charging the battery, rendering it useless except as a cold water faucet September 27, 2007 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
REVISED 2/4/08 We're dealing with more Chinese-made problems here. I no longer rate this highly, see "Comments" for full information about why.
Make sure to have your potable water source parallel or below the unit when it's pumping/serving the water. Another person told me they ruined theirs very quickly by not following these instructions and by also leaving the water in the feed line without allowing it to drain down/away/out of the unit, when they were finished using it.
Works great once you get the leaks out September 22, 2007 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I had a lot of trouble getting the hose adapter to stop imitating a garden sprayer. I took the brass fitting off, put some teflon tape on the threads, re-installed it and added another hose washer, now it works much better. Coleman needs a licensed plumber on their design staff. The heater will not start while the battery is being charged, Coleman's rechargeable lanterns display this similar design flaw.
Not so hot September 3, 2007 4 out of 8 found this review helpful
High expectations with this product. It worked great during the few minutes of testing and cleaning while at home. But upon arrival at my vacation site a couple of weeks later I discovered the battery to be dead with it refusing to accept a charge. No chance of getting a replacement while out in the wilderness. Quite a disappointment.
Works great - highly responsive July 20, 2007 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
We're dedicated car-campers and have always heated water on the stove for cleaning dishes and ourselves. Never again. The Hot-Water-On-Demand product works very well. You get hot water almost instantly and there is enough temperature control to use this as a shower with the optional sprayer attachment. We still use a sun shower for ourselves due to the hose length, but for cleaning our kids, washing dishes, washing your hands or face, etc this is fantastic. Battery life has been fully acceptable. We charge it before a trip then keep it plugged into the car when we're moving between camping locations. The propane cylinders last a reasonably long time - we've gotten 6 days out of the current cylinder and it hasn't run out. The unit is light enough to easily move it to where you need it. Ours tends to live at one end of the picnic table and we put a small basin below it to act as a sink. I fully plan to use this for the upcoming tailgate season.
