About Paha Qué Paha Qué Wilderness Inc. is a young and innovative company that makes high-quality family camping tents. Campers love them, but when they first see the name in print, they pause and wonder just how to pronounce it and try to understand its meaning. You won't find it in any dictionary and there have been debates amongst linguists about its derivation. According to the legend behind the term, Paha Qué is the Southwest Indian version of "Aloha." Paha Qué takes it to mean "happy trails." It can mean hello, good-bye, how are you, have a good day, and more. Perhaps a variation on the Spanish phrase Qué Pasa? The people at Paha Qué learned it from a local rancher friend whose grandpa learned it from local Indians. It boils down to the fact that the name is surely different, and appropriately so because these tents are very different from ordinary tents.

A second bathroom for guests! August 25, 2008 Bought this for summer guests who stay in the yurt on my property - so they don't have to come through my bedroom on way to lav. Worked just great with a port-a-potty inside. A little tricky to set up at first but is withstanding lots of wind and rain this summer. It also looks really cute which actually was a concern since it's very visible upon entering the property.
Doh! July 24, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The tent sets up extremely easy (except for below) and has plenty of room. The material seems to be decent quality but here are the issues....
We were setting up the tent and one of the poles refused to fit through the channel. After further inspection, where there was additional stitching for one of the hooks, they had sewn in to the channel, not providing enough room for the pole to slip through properly. A hair dryer and a little patience and I was able to get the pole through. For such an expensive purchase, a little quality assurance would go a long way.
Now the tent is set up, I notice there is a "push" in the top netting, its not really a rip but the netting is defective in one spot. I guess nail polish would stop it from ripping but why should I be worrying about this on a brand new tent?
Just a note... if there is low lighting behind the tent, you will see shadows. So if you are sitting on the pot or taking a shower and rub a dubbing, you can see shadows from the outside.
And finally... While taking down the tent and GENTLY and I do mean GENTLY removing the poles, one of them gets hung up on the threads (the same threads that were sewn in for hooks) and the bungee snaps with no effort at all. What the heck?
That was the last straw, back it goes.
Amazon did great as usual. Fast shipping and willing to exchange or refund my purchase.
Edit: Received new tent and only one of the channels had the problem described above. Granted, not as bad as the first tent so it is workable, it should loosen up after multiple uses and baking in the sun while camping. The top netting of the replacement had been repaired, so apparently I got a refurbed tent? The overhead "holder" was also missing.. Sheesh.. luckily I had not sent the other tent off. Overall... C+ We shall see how it holds up after being used multiple times.
Shower tent July 5, 2008 On the positive, a very well made shower tent. The negative is the very difficult assembly. I can assemble my six person tent in half the time. The rod couplers are too big for the tent sleeves making it almost impossible to slide the rods up to the top of the tent. This is even worse when you attempt to remove these rods as you cannot pull them out from the base without binding up each coupler and separating the rod.
Had I not used it I would return it.
Great tent May 4, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This tent works great. It assembles easily and disassembles easily. And it gives potty privacy while camping.
Hot Showers in the Woods! July 28, 2007 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I was skeptical about the price of this tent initially but I liked what it looked like in the pics. Assembly was awkward at fist since the vertical supports are inside the tent instead of outside. Once I got the hang of it, assemply went very smoothly. It is a very attractive tent and very sturdy. I had also purchased a water heater and it was great to have hot showers over a long holiday weekend. I liked this tent so much I wish I had a full-sized tent from this company. Although it is a little more expencsive than some other shower tent options which are available, there are a lot more detailed craftmanship features with this tent. I would highly reccomment this tent to others.
