The rechargeable Duracell Powerpack 600 delivers up to 600 watts of portable AC power.

Amazon.com
There are many times when extra power is needed for your tools or accessories, but none is available. If an outlet is not in reach or plugging into the dashboard cigarette lighter is simply not an option, the Duracell Powerpack 600 is the perfect solution. Brought to you by Duracell and Xantrex, an innovator in portable and backup power products for nearly 25 years, it comes with a multitude of safety and emergency features, and is powerful enough to start your car and robust enough to provide portable power for small appliances.

The Power to Get the Job Done Safely
The heart of the Duracell Powerpack 600 is a sealed, non-spillable 28 amp-hour AGM battery. It can be safely and conveniently recharged from any household AC outlet or DC cigarette-lighter outlet, making it ready to go whenever you need it. This robust battery is tied to a power inverter that provides 600 watts of power to its three grounded AC outlets and one DC socket. Multiple outlets give you the flexibility and convenience to operate several appliances at once, while the 3-digit barragraph LED indicator dynamically monitors the Duracell Powerpack's battery charge level. Internal circuitry ensures long inverter life by protecting against overload and over-temperature conditions. An audible alarm also signals during overheating and under-voltage situations, alerting you to any possible safety concerns.

The Duracell Powerpack 600
provides long lasting on-the-go power.

Duracell Powerpack 600 Protects You On the Go
Duracell Powerpack's 28-amp battery can jump start most 8-cylinder engines with its included jumper cables. A reverse polarity detector further ensures your safety by disallowing power transfer in the event that the jumper cables are connected to the incorrect battery terminals. Duracell Powerpack 600 also provides ample power to recharge cordless and cellular telephones. At the same time, it can operate emergency lights, televisions and a wide range of DC-powered products. A built-in AM/FM clock-radio provides access to news and emergency broadcasts, while the built-in emergency light provides extra illumination to keep you out of the dark and to signal to others if you are stranded.

Perfect for Outdoor Adventures
From remote job sites to the family picnic, Duracell Powerpack's portability makes it an excellent choice for any outdoor adventure. It is mighty enough to run power tools and equipment in the wilderness. The 600-watt power inverter also lets you bring some of the comforts of home to your campsite or outing. Small appliances, portable coolers, laptops, televisions and gaming consoles will run for hours. Duracell Powerpack 600 means you'll never be left in the dark.

Constructed by Industry Leaders
Duracell is brand trusted in households around the world because of their high-quality, long-lasting batteries. They have collaborated with Xantrex, a company that has been constantly innovating new portable and backup power units for nearly 25 years. Working together, they bring you a highly reliable, long-lasting portable power solution that you can count on. From power outages and roadside emergencies to remote jobsites and the great outdoors, the rugged Duracell PowerPack 600 will be there to give you the power you need.

What's in the Box?
The Duracell Powerpack 600 includes several convenient accessories. Compatible jumper cables allow you to jump start your vehicle. The AC adapter recharges the unit from any standard wall outlet and stows away inside the unit when not in use. A DC charging cable can be inserted into any standard cigarette-lighter outlet, providing rechargability on-the-go in any automobile, boat, or RV. A versatile accessory bag is also included for storage.

4 out of 5 stars power   July 2, 2008
The Duracell power pack was a great buy. the power pack was great on our camping trip. Several people at our campsite love it and stop and asked where i had bought it. The price was great and it was worth it. while camping i was able to power regular size CD home sterio and a electrical air pump to inflate an air matress at the same time without any power loss.the radio worked the emergency light was brite. make sure you re charge after each use for longer power source if you are camping.

1 out of 5 stars Gem is a big time dud   June 30, 2008
After reading reviews, I had hoped this product could be an answer to a portable power problem. All it had to do was power a portable dvd player.

When I got it I charged it with the supplied DC power supply for well over 48 hours. Not a single light turned on. Maybe my wall isn't putting enough out... the manual said it needs 120v. So, I had someone who drive extensively charge it for over 6 hours over a few days, a sure way to charge, yet still nothing, except the normal screech of death when I turned on its AC switch.

Well, Duracell, this is the second time one of your batteries failed me. I thought Duracell meant something.. it does, unreliability. I had hoped it wouldn't be so,really, but I'm so disappointed. Had there been a zero rating, I would give it such since this product gave me a huge headache in trying to get it to work, and the time wasted. My recommendation - Don't buy Duracell (a Xantrex Co.) They don't have a very good quality assurance program, in my experience. Unless you plan to buy 100 bucks of paper weight, this item is a no go.

I'm glad and thankful Amazon is taking it back and refunding my money.

5 out of 5 stars Very handy to have   June 27, 2008
I bought this for my business to run my cash register when I do trade shows. So far it has worked like a gem. I used it for a weekend to run my register and didn't have to charge it at all. It also doubled as an anchor for my dog's leash so the weight of it came in handy!
Last weekend we lost power for about 6 hours and it powered a light and a fan for us, I was very thankful that I had purchased this.
I think if you remember that this is a power pack and not a actual generator than you will be very pleased with what it can do.

4 out of 5 stars Nice power pack!   June 24, 2008
This thing does a great job. I use it on my boat to power lights, fans or the tv in the evenings after shutting down the generator. It works really well. My only complaint is the ear-shattering alarm that sounds when it's about out of juice. It went off at 4am one morning and scared the heck out of us! I wish there was a way to shut it off. Minor annoyance, though, for a really good product.

5 out of 5 stars Handy Power Source   June 23, 2008
I've only used this on one camping trip and specifically for running my notebook computer and it worked great. The power lasted for 6-7 hours. I thought it might be too heavy to lug along, but it was reasonable for the convenience. The power gage is not very helpful. Overall I think its a great unit and I suppose its a great emergency power backup at home. It can stay plugged in and trickle charged all of the time.
