3 out of 5 stars Compass does not work well.. did not meet my expectation   June 27, 2008
This is a nice little product which I may use later...
Everything works except the magnetic compass.
The back handle is very tight and does not have rubber grip...so it slips a little.
Check all the features as soon as you get it so that you can return withing 30 days!

1 out of 5 stars crank for 3 mins for nothing   June 10, 2008
1 out of 1 found this review helpful

This is one of those hand-crank gadget that simply doesn't work. Instruction says crank for 3 min to get 60 mins of flashlight and 10 min of radio. yeah, right. I got maybe 10 seconds of flashlight and 2 seconds of radio. OK, instructions says you must charge this thing first. Well, WHERE IS THE CHARGER? Am I supposed to crank this forever? There is an AC input -- but NO a/c charger included! You are supposed to use a < 5V, <1000mA charger. Well, I found one, plug it in... seems to be powering up the thing OK -- until a few minutes later, the LEDs light came on by themselves and started flickering! There's a toggle button to turn it off or back on, but it does not seem to work. You may think I'm joking, but hey, if you don't believe me, spend that money to see what kind of piece of junk this is...

4 out of 5 stars No emergencies yet   April 10, 2008

Everything seems to work OK, but 5 stars requires an actual test. I do think that SwissTech makes good stuff.
