Product Description
Tune into the latest style on the street with Sony's MDR-G57G Street Style stereo headphones. Featuring an exclusive behind-the-neck headband that won't interfere with your hairstyle or hat, a reflective ear piece that is perfect for jogging at night, and a non-slip design that stays on your ears during active sports like jogging, dancing, roller-blading, and other activities that are enhanced by music. In addition, the MDR-G57G match the Sports Walkman design, so as you listen to Sony sound bring your workout to the next level - fashion is in full force.

Amazon.com Product Description
These Street Style headphones employ the comfortable and stable behind-the-neck design. They have a non-slip design, making them ideal for exercise or for a walk to the corner market. To encourage safe night-time activities, the MDR-G57Gs come with a reflective ear piece. They are also water-resistant, completing the necessary checklist for full-function sports headphones. The behind-the-neck style is also appropriate for urban and casual wear; remember that with this style you can wear a hat while wearing the headphones. The MDR-G57Gs were designed for extended wear, and, weighing in at under two ounces, you may indeed forget you are wearing headphones.

Sony has installed several technical features to the headphones to ensure a quality listening experience. The thirty millimeter drive units are large for portable headphones, and deliver deep bass, low distortion and a wide frequency response range (16 - 20,000 Hz). Sony's Acoustic Turbo circuit achieves high sonic output by utilizying sound chamber and duct technology. Ferrite magnets give the headphones solid energy at a minimal size and weight, while the oxygen-free copper cord provides high conductivity and minimum noise. The gold-plated stereo mini-plug makes sure that sound is transported fully and accurately. The gold-plated treatment also helps resist corrosion and supports the headphones' high conductivity and low noise. The five foot long, single-sided cord is plenty long for active pursuits. Replacement earpads are included.

2 out of 5 stars Hurts your ears, sound is good   November 26, 2008
E. Olesen (Los Angeles, CA)
I got these to try and kill my hearing more slowly than earbud headphones, but these headphones are really uncomfortable. After about a half hour of wearing them, I get a headache because they are pushing into the back part of my ears. Maybe I just have a weird-shaped head, but try and look somewhere else for headphones tat won't cause you physical pain.

4 out of 5 stars Good workout headphones   November 17, 2008
Henry H. S. Yoon (Chamblee, GA United States)
I use this primarily for running, workout or doing the dishes- it's light enough and water resistant, which makes it perfect for such purposes. However, like all behind ear headphones, they don't really block out noise that well, so take that into your consideration. As a Sony product headphone, the bass is quite good, though it can be a bit too much sometimes in my opinion. It can get a bit too snug too; I find myself readjusting them or taking them out every hour or so. Sound quality is not mind-blowing, but definitely solid for the price range.
Cord length is adequate for workout- a bit longer than I would like, but better than being short. For the record, I'm about five nine.

In short, you will be hard pressed to find a better workout headphone for the money.

4 out of 5 stars Good sound; tight phones   October 2, 2008
P. Bodnar (Indianapolis, IN USA)
That's about it: the music sound good coming through these earphones.

But, damn, if they aren't tight. I often don't notice, but I really wish they were adjustable.

4 out of 5 stars Sony MDR-G57G S2 Sports Street Style Headphones Review   September 18, 2008
Richard Hayn (Cleveland, OH)
The headphones are more comfortable than the previous models. The product also comes with an extra set of foam covers as well. If you use these when running or working out, the extra foam covers do come in handy. The reflective piece is more orange in color than yellow, but no matter. They still look good. I would recommend these to a friend as well.

2 out of 5 stars These headphones will break   August 24, 2008
J. Miller (Austin, TX USA)
I've had two pairs of these headphones. Within a month or so of buying them, I lost sound in one of the earpieces (sound would only come out of the other one). It's too bad because these are otherwise fairly comfortable headphones.
