Good cup holder June 6, 2008 Easy to install, sturdy, and works great. Be careful going over bumps and/or curbs or your drink could spill. Recomend
Great item if secured properly August 30, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I had read some reviews where people were complaining about the liquid sloshing around. Unfortunately when you are on a bike, that will happen. It works great for my purpose. I ride my bike to work and like to bring a cup of coffee with me. My old bike (that got stolen) was a mountain bike and I had metal baskets where I could wedge my cup in a corner of the basket and keep it upright for my ride. When I replaced the bike I got a hybrid but unfortunately the frame design doesn't seem to work with baskets-this was my solution! My purpose is to transport the beverage (not drink while riding-dangerous with coffee anyway). I simply put a bit of saran/plastic wrap over the top of the cup before I put the lid on it and vwahla...keeps it even more insulated with heat and prevents the coffee from shooting out the top and trickling down the cup, onto the bike frame and my feet and legs. Simple thing but totally does the trick.
I had my doubts January 9, 2007 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I wasn't sure how well this thing would work. When I told people that I had ordered it most people told me I was crazy. However, once I got a coffee cup with a lid that closed completely (emphasis on completely), it worked like a charm. Simple design, simple installation (if you'd even call it that), and it works!
Good quality, but coffee sloshes out January 4, 2007 1 out of 6 found this review helpful
I got this cup holder so I could carry my insulated travel cup of coffee on my morning bike commute to work. It is a good quality product, easy to install (no tools), and seems durable. However, even when I close the sliding cover over the drinking hole in the lid of my travel cup, coffee sloshes out the cracks and gets on my pants while riding. I guess this is more a problem with the cup, but I've tried several cups, and have had this problem with all of them. A cup with a screw-on type sealed lid would probably work, but then it wouldn't be practical to drink while riding, which is what a cup holder should allow you to do.
