Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Harrison's largest nugget size. Intended for larger companion birds such as Amazons, Cockatoos, Eclectus, Macaws and Pionus . Harrison's Bird Foods are premium, certified organic diets made up of the best ingredients available. To assure freshness be sure to keep the food tightly sealed in it's original packaging. Refrigeration after opening may bag help maintain freshness. Use food up in 4 - 6 weeks after opening bag. Feeding Directions: Birds may eat all they want. Avoid waste and selective eating. Amounts will vary depending on birds' energy needs. For example, amounts should be increased for birds that are young, active, cold or approaching breeding. Feed fresh food daily, with separate access to water to prevent dunking. Storage and Shelf Life: Because Harrison's is committed to protecting your bird from artificial preservatives, we suggest you taste and smell this product for freshness prior to feeding. Use food up in 4 - 6 weeks after opening bag. Keep food fresh by squeezing all air out of bag and zipping the bag shut at the top. If zip lock gets removed or damaged, fold top over several times and clip shut with "chip clip" or clothes pin. Keep food in original bag. Do not store food in plastic bags or Tupperware . Store at room temperature. Refrigeration of food is not necessary.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars more expensive online   September 23, 2008
blossom
Well, I am rating this one a 5 because we love it for our African Timneh Gray! But I am disappointed that it is so much more expensive online than it is at my local petstore (they are out right now for a week until their shipment comes in). Usually its the other way around - cheaper online. Then add shipping into the mix and its at least 12 dollars more than getting it local. I guess Einstein will eat his other food for now until the pet store stocks it. Others should be aware to look at the poundage when ordering. Also, to keep it fresh, store it in the freezer.
