3 out of 5 stars they're alright..   December 2, 2008
Amy (NYC)
My dog can be a picky eater when it comes to organic/healthy treats and he only eats these about 75% of the time i offer it to him.. i guess it depends on his mood? I actually tried them myself (i try all the treats i buy him before subjecting him to them because i will NOT feed him anything I find disgusting) and they're not too bad - tastes a bit like oatmeal. I do love how you can actually see the pieces of apples and carrots in the treats and I love how the ingredients are certified organic :)
btw- the little story on the back of the bag "Newman Dog Tells All!!" is hilarious!!

5 out of 5 stars Wiggles Blue Heeler Loves These!   December 1, 2008

When you have that "dog of a lifetime," it's even more important that your special dog get the best of everything. This product ensures that. No ingredients but the best, most healthful. What's not to love?

5 out of 5 stars Quality and Simple Ingredients. VERY peanut buttery!!   November 13, 2008
dane mommy
These are hard to find and the pack of 6 is a good deal. We actually have 3 Great Danes and a German Pointer. 2 of the Danes are pups and pay attention very well while being schooled IF and only if I have these cookies or real meat. No other training treat works like this. I order the small size (yes for Great Danes) because they are perfect size for a training reward. Here are the ingredients: Barley Flour, Ground Chicken, Carrots, Apples, Rolled Oats, Canola Oil, Flax Seed, Sesame Seed, Sunflower Seeds, Natural Peanut Flour, Natural Flavor. (Certified Organic).
I mean come on - that is excellent stuff. They smell good too. Sometimes walmart will carry the cheese ones but peanut butter trumps them all!

3 out of 5 stars eats a few buries a lot   October 6, 2008
Cynorita (Boise)
My dachshund is very picky and spoiled. She will eat these from time to time but usually buries them outside.

5 out of 5 stars My dog loves them too!   July 7, 2008

My dog has a sensitive stomach and isn't particularly food-driven, however, he seems to go crazy for the cheese flavored Newman dog treats and they don't mess with his stomach.

I give him one each night when it's time to "kennel up" and as soon as he sees me reach for the bag, he races for his kennel before I have even give the command. Success!

It's important to note that they are corn and wheat free (great for dogs with allergies), and don't have a strong odor that will rub off on your hands.

Highly recommended!
