Just So So September 3, 2010 Starflower Our Bichon puppy did use these steps after training him with treats, but he stumbles because the step depth is way too narrow, and it has too many stairs to navigate. Maybe they would be suitable for a teacup or a chihuahua. Our puppy's gait skipped steps and he fell off the sides once. Our other Bichon Frise, who was ill, really had a hard time using the stairs. I give this product 3 stars because it works, just not very well. So we decided to replace the Pup Solve it stairs with the Pet Gear Easy Step I Pet Stairs, 2 Step, which is pretty much perfect for $25, and we are very happy with them.
Great for older pets! September 1, 2010 Happy Mom (Charlottesville, VA) We bought these steps after we realized that our new bedroom set made our bed about 6 inches higher -- a little too high for our 14-year-old cat to jump up on. Not letting her on the bed was not an option, so we started looking for steps. I was a little skeptical at first because these are made of plastic, but they work great! It only took a day or so before she was comfortable walking up and down them. She always used to jump off the bed, but I imagine it was getting painful so now she doesn't have to do that anymore either.
One thing I will caution is this: If you have small children, make sure that you teach them not to climb on these steps. First, it gives them access to high beds that they could jump on (and fall off). Second, it's not meant for that kind of weight. Your steps will last a lot longer if you keep the kids off.
Works great August 27, 2010 Sea (Seattle) Well, they are just as ugly in real life as they are in the picture --don't kid yourself. But they work great & are perfect for my elderly cat to get up on his favorite chair. Most cats like height & don't like sleeping on beds on the floor & even when they age, this doesn't change. He is much happier being up on a a chair or the sofa & this lets him get up & down w/out my help.
I like that they fold, so I can shove them under the couch when company comes over.
#1>Cant beat the price! August 24, 2010 porsha808 This is my 2nd order. Very easy to clean, durable and perfect for most small to med size pets. Cant beat the cost, + shipping was fast and FREE! Great product, "excellent customer service" & return policy. Highly recommend.
Not For Large Dogs August 21, 2010 Roamer Product description is inaccurate because it claims it will support a 120 pound dog. The steps are much too small to support any normal dog that would weigh 120lb, the steps are too narrow and risers too close together. 75lb standard poodle could/would not use this product as it was too small and wobbly. May be suitable for very small dog or a cat. EntirelyPets after delay eventually refunded full purchase price after negative review on this site but it cost me $12 to ship back which they did not refund.
