Does NOT meet airline standards February 17, 2010 Konrad Haskins (Seattle Area) 19"L x 14"W x 8.25"H is the measurements straight off the Southwest website. This is for window and isle seats. Middle Seat: 19"L x 19"W x 8.25"H. I don't know how they can make the false claim that this is airline approved.
As advertised! February 13, 2010 Mary M. Desalvo (Northern Kentucky, USA) This is the 2nd Sherpa I've purchased and this one wins hands-down! Love the flaps on both ends - really helps with air circulation. The velco on the rigid bottom/fleecy pad go a long way to keeping things straight.
Best of all are the rigid stabilizers running along the top - my old Sherpa continually collapsed on my dog - bad news for both of us.
I'd highly recommend this model!
Fell apart after 12 trips February 12, 2010 Carey C. Sutton (Cozumel Mex and Orange County CA) Good bag and just the right size for my 8 lb larger than average toy poodle. Good design. However, after 12 trips one of the rods of the top frame worked loose and now just hangs down unless I zip up the bag around it. This is from having to jam it just a bit to make it ooch under the Continental airline seat I guess. But they should have made that stronger. I'm trading up to the Legacy bag of the same size. I sincerely hope it lasts longer than this one did.
Design is good in terms of being airy, etc. but the top problem is definitely an issue.
Very good for 2 cats! January 30, 2010 MsAnastasia (GA, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I put both of my cats in this and it worked very well. When I first seen it in person thought it wasn't that great but after using definitely loved it. The cats seemed comfortable in it, cuddled together and fell asleep. Definitely a good buy for the price!
Excellent Choice for Airline Travel December 27, 2009 Javagirl 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I purchased this bag to transport (in cabin) my 15# pug dog on a flight across country. I purchased it early and spent about a week getting him used to the bag by placing biscuits in the bag for him to retrieve and graduated to actually placing his food bowl in the bag. This paid off big time when our actual travel day came around because I did not have to force him into the bag. He went right in. When it came time to check-in, when the agent saw it was a Sherpa bag, she didn't even question it at all. The bag fit perfectly under the seat in front of me. I did not have to force it at all. My dog was asleep the whole flight. I was nervous about traveling with my pet and this bag made for a very easy and non-eventful trip. I would recommend this bag.
