Product Description
The Dog Lover’s Companion to Los Angeles has the inside scoop on the best parks, restaurants, accommodations, recreation spots, and pet-friendly businesses in the City of Angels and beyond. Local author Maria Goodavage and her trusty companion Jake have dug up many surprising resources available to dogs in Los Angeles, such as snug bed-and-breakfasts, drool-worthy beaches, chic restaurants (that give dogs star treatment), and canine couture boutiques. Packed with helpful maps, up-to-date leash laws, and a useful "paw" ranking system for all locations in the book, The Dog Lover’s Companion to Los Angeles is truly a pet’s best friend.

Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Pretty good book   September 18, 2008
A. G. Goldberg (Los Angeles)
I am glad I got this book. Lots of good ideas and things to do with the Dog. Only reason it does not have five stars is that I wish the book was more detailed with hiking trails and more places to eat with the Dog

4 out of 5 stars A Must-Read for SoCal dog owners   September 20, 2007
Dewlanna (Orange County, CA United States)
Look, you got a dog or two? Living or traveling in southern California? Then you need this book! Seriously, to find out which beaches, parks, restaurants, hotels, etc. will accept your pooch in LA or OC, this is it. Lots of little-known dog-friendly places and tips on travel make this book worth its price.

5 out of 5 stars Indispensable. It's my bible.   November 8, 2005

Wow -- in planning a vacation to Big Bear Lake, I found a great dog-friendly lodge thanks to this lively written guidebook. What a resource: It lists so many parks that I didn't know allowed dogs, plus lots of hikes for great views of the Pacific. We're looking forward to going to the dog-friendly stores listed for Beverly Hills and taking the ferry to Catalina Island.
Our dog adooooores this book! She's no longer cooped up at home.
