Water Dog DVD October 7, 2008 First time lab owner (New Brunswick, Canada) Excellent DVD, it walks you through the training process from the puppy stages to a well trained retriever. I watched the entire video the first time and have gone back to view sections that pertain to the particular point in the training process I happen to be working on mastering. I also purchased "The Hunting Retriever" which complemented the DVD well.
Water Dog DVD February 8, 2008 Joseph M. Middleton (Raleigh, NC USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is truly the best training guide for my waterfowl and upland retriever. It breaks the training into short, 15 minute steps and tells you exactly what to do to have a really excellent sporting dog, as well as a dog for the family and around the house!!
Good summary of the Dog Training Process July 16, 2007 Brady Fosmark (Clinton, UT) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a good summary of the natural dog training process. The only thing I thought it was missing was a troubleshooting section. But, all of the DVD's I have watched have lacked in this area. On the whole this is a very good guide on how to take your dog through the training steps but I would definitly recommend a book to go along with it.
Great Instructional Video March 22, 2007 J. H. Rives Jr. (North Carolina, USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
If you want to train a waterfowl retriever. This DVD is all you need. I have read almost all his books, specifically Water Dog twice. This DVD covers all the basics and beyond.
Outstanding Tool March 8, 2006 Ron D. Bolinsky 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Really good and informative. Lots of info especially how to go step by step... Would have given a five but I think this DVD shows older dogs for training examples rather than dogs that should be puppies.
