5 out of 5 stars amazing!!   January 8, 2009
Ruthy A. Googins (San Diego, CA)
I just put in this dvd tonight to see if my dog would be interested...within 3 minutes her nose was glued to the screen and she was trying to sniff out all the animals. I bought this dvd because she has severe separation anxiety and I just needed something to distract her while I was gone (she wont touch treats, toys, kongs or even marrow bones if I'm not home with her!). I was skeptical about this, but now I'm a believer!!

5 out of 5 stars Perfect!   January 3, 2009
John D. Western (Mahomet, IL)
First of all, I really had no expectations when I ordered this DVD. I have one older dog and one 10 months old. The older dog it has absolutley no affect on (terrier mix), however, she is 13 years old and could care less about anything but eating, sleeping, and well, you know what. The 10 month old it drives absolutley nuts (pocket beagle). He barks through about 80 percent of the video, but watches the entire thing. It gives him so much enjoyment and excersise by getting him riled up that when we stop the DVD, he is so much more calm and relaxed. It actually has him more aware of the TV as well. He watches the regular TV quite often now, and gets very excited over pet commercials, which he never noticed before. It is soooo cute to watch him. Definitely not a DVD I will ever leave him alone to watch though....think the house would be completely torn up. But with having no expectations, I'm completely pleased with the result. Know your pet though before you buy if you have specific expectations. I know it's listed as a show to leave your pet alone with....this will not work with ours!!! But it is perfect at entertaining him with supervision!!!

5 out of 5 stars love this! perfect for whole family   December 29, 2008

At first I thought this dvd would not work as my dog did not seem to pay attention to it. But I soon realized that she is much calmer, relaxed when it is playing, Also it entertained my friend's toddler grandson. Plus I enjoy the nature sounds that it adds to our home, esp. during the winter months when can't open up the windows. The dvd is wonderful relaxing to play on cold winter day, to bring the feeling of those wonderful summer relaxing days by the pond or out in nature, at a park. relaxing, rejuvenating for all of us. Hidden bonus, did not expect to enjoy it myself. Realized that it calms my dog through hearing the calming nature sounds. Brings calming life in the home. My dog was bored by lack of stimulus, and this provides the perfect stimulus to prevent boredom, without over stimulation. Highly recommend it. and don't worry if dog does not watch it, pay attention to change in animal's behavior.

Have many of these titles for my cats so bought this for my dog Roscoe. He really likes it! Favorite scenes are the ducks and birds. He's not a television watcher normally but for some reason this DVD keeps his attention. I have a dog CD as well for him so I switch it back and forth to mix things up. I think its the cutest thing ever.

1 out of 5 stars DVD for Dogs: While you are gone   November 23, 2008

My Boxer, who often watches TV, was interested in only a couple of scenes of this DVD; the coyote emerging from behind a tree and accompanying taped coyote howls. I have played it several times, and each time, that's the only part that gets his attention. It seemed neither to calm nor entertain.

What does seem to get and hold his attention, however, are videos of small puppies yipping and yelping. He presses his nose to the computer screen whenever I find youTube puppy videos. For my dog, I would be better off downloading those videos to dvd to play for him.
