5 out of 5 stars Command Performance Dog Training System   March 18, 2008
I used this system with my Rottweiler when she was a puppy back in '97. This system was easy simple and very effective. She is the best trained dog I've ever had. No leash required...ever! I have been looking for this tape again, so I can use it to train my next puppy. I highly recommend this product to anyone who does not have experience with training. I can not say any more than I am going to buy this product again.

In his Command Performance series, Dikeman demonstrates both positive reinforcement and mild corrections in dog training techniques. His presentation is pleasant and easy to understand, and his directions are easy to follow.

5 out of 5 stars Very good.   March 4, 2007

One of the best thing about David's method is you get instant gratification. No kidding. First lesson, using a 20 foot leash, and you will have your dog at a heal after about 10 minutes. Jumping up on you or family? Cure that in about :30 seconds. All done humanely, so you don't feel like you're 'hurting him.'
I trained my lab using these tapes, and it was amazing. Both you and Fido will be so much happier. Don't hesitate, buy this.

5 out of 5 stars Great training video.... if you commit to it.   September 2, 2006

I believe the more than average person considers their dogs to be an essential part of the family. So don't give up on their training!! David Dikeman's Program comes with more than just two videos, however, I am just reviewing the two videos. This is great training, but folks...you have to commit, and that means at least opening video Vol. 2. As a seller, I have seen many of these TWO volume sets, and people don't even get two Volume 2.

Dikeman works with a variety of dogs, the settings are outdoor, and he gives examples, explains and demonstrates the "dos and don'ts" of training. Good training techniques are taught in a park to the city streets.

Volume 1 goes into the sit commands, down commands, off-leash training and includes hand signals.

Volume 2 is great for training your dog to avoid distractions, attentivness and how to behave in various situations. Dikeman demonstrates how to control leaping and jumping, resistance, praising, etc.

This is broken down into lessons which he clearly advises the time period for practicing with your pets.

As I mentioned, this is a great training tape, but I believe too many people give up! Training a dog well takes time and it is work. ....MzRizz
