Helping July 29, 2010 Philip Laube (Cambridge, OH USA) These were recommended by our vet. They do help, but the prices from her and those pet prescription sites were high. This is the same product for much less. I would recommend it if you dog is suffering from joint/hip issues.
Amazing - I was completely reluctant but proof is in the pudding! My dog has had miraculous changes July 26, 2010 Hillsideset Ok, I am going to make this direct and to the people who don't know what to believe or who to trust. I was very cautious about written reviews online and especially for my dog. But I can honestly say with great excitement this product works!!!
I have a 9.5 year old Golden Retriever - 100lb healthy dog with a love for hiking, swimming, playing etc but in recent years his activity levels dropped significantly. In February I almost lost him due to a 3" bladder rupture, he suffered trying to jump into the back of my pickup (sucked). I was forced to make the $5100 call, put him down or give him another chance. Of course to me it was a no brainer, my dog is a huge part of my life and has been with me since 7weeks old. I had the surgery, he recovered and I've been trying to improve his health to prolong his life.
In the last year here is what I noticed the most, we would go hiking 2miles+ and after he would be tired, but a few hours after he would hobble around and limp paint in his front legs. Yesterday we hiked Arapaho Pass in Colorado, it was a 7mi round trip, he probably did 8 running around so much, at the top there are big boulders you have to scrambler and he had to jump up on, he did it. We got down, he was tired, slept on the ride home, but after a few hours relaxing he jumped to his feet and was walking around no problem. Today to my surprise he had no limping, is ready to go for another hike and is happier then ever. I can't begin to explain how excited I am, and how blessed I am to have a healthy dog again. He plays with my neighbors puppy golden who is 10months old, he's more friendly with other dogs and so cheerful with me.
I rate this product a 10 and recommend this to any person out there, I myself have degenerative arthiritus in my big toes (feels like a weight dropped on them and walking the next day is insanely difficult). But, I use glucosamine daily and aleve after long hikes, and I today am feeling great. My toes aren't hurting but before I couldn't hardly walk after a strenuous hike.
Buy it! You won't be disappointed and this is coming from a trusted source!
God Bless
CosequinDS makes a diference July 9, 2010 louis t feldgoise Our 13 year old std. poodle has now completed 4 months on this supplement. The improvement in his ability to walk is truly impressive. When the evening cools off in South Florida he can again manage almost a mile. Previous glucosamine/chondroitin sulfate supplements were definitely not as effective as Cosequin DS
Noticable Improvement July 1, 2010 Audrey Nutramax Cosequin DS was recommended by our veterinarian to increase mobility and to decrease joint stiffness. Purchasing the product through them was very expensive since we have two, large breed senior dogs. We were delighted to see the exact product offered at Amazon for considerably less.
The recommended dose for our dogs caused unwanted effects. We lowered the dose to one tablet daily, it agreed with their systems and provided great results.
Now we have to remind them that they are old dogs not puppies!!!
Supplement for dogs June 29, 2010 PP Cosequin DS has been one of the best supplements for my 4 year old Corgi who has a form of hip dysplasia. She has better movement on this product than she had before. It is high recommended by our vet too!
