Product Description Enhance communication between you & your dog. This collar provides gentle control & offers a great looking design. It works very well for dogs that constantly pull on the leash & makes obedience training a snap. The fully adjustable link design fits together, producing a watchband pattern. Add-a-link or remove one to create the perfect fit.

Need to consult with a trainer before use November 28, 2008 SJP (Baltimore, MD) This was a great purchase. This collar was recommended by our trainer for our very willful 6 month old puppy. She responds very well when she wears this collar and pulling during walks has been eliminated. As another reviewer mentioned, the teeth are meant to simulate the mother dog's teeth as a way/ means to control, not to torture. It is much gentler than a pinch collar and is really meant as a way to get your dog's attention, not to harshly correct or reprimand. Those who feel this collar is inhumane are probably not using it correctly and should consult a trainer before use. Our trainer made it very clear to use a loose leash when the collar is on and only tighten up when attention is needed of your pup. As with any corrective collar this should be done only when necessary (ie your dog is not paying attention or is disobeying). Constant tightening up with a collar like this will make your dog unwilling to work with you/lose their desire to please you. The teeth are difficult to remove but I don't think they need to be taken apart to remove the collar. I can slip the collar over my dog's head easily, just being aware of where the teeth are to protect her ears and eyes. I place my hand between her head and the teeth when removing the collar so the teeth touch my hand, not her face or ears.
great alternative to the metal prong November 20, 2008 Joshua Nichols works great with the proper training. effective tool to help you and your dog walk as one. And to those who reviewed negatively thinking this is a torture device, you are obviuosly an uneducated dog owner. Is it better for your dog to pull you into the street or pull the leash out of your hand and they get hit by a car or attack another dog? My advice is have a trainer help you find the most effective tool for you so you can control your pet. P.s. if this collar or any prong or choke are used properly it virtually eliminates the amount of corrections needed to control your dog. I do agree these types of collars, not used properly can be harmful. seek a professional to guide you. Do that and then make your comments
Shoulder Relief September 28, 2008 K. Coopman (Hawaii) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This collar was the best thing for our dogs as well for our arms and shoulders. The pinch collar does not cause any harm to our Husky/Chow or our Rottweiler. It provides a better experience for us during walks and when running with our beautiful dogs. These dogs are known for their powerful pulling capabilities and the collar helps them to control the urge to pull with all their might. I recommend this collar for senior citizens, kids, and handicapped dog walkers. Our dogs love their time out of the house and when they see us get the collars you can see the excitement in their eyes, they don't hide or growl at site of the collar. The steel prong collars need to be replaced by this non abusive dog collar!
Horrendous September 11, 2008 Anja Eliassen (Norway) 2 out of 6 found this review helpful
This sort of thing should be illegal. It is nothing but a way to torture an animal to make it obey, it makes me sick and that Amazon sells this collar and several like it make me think less about the company. I would urge pepole not to use such a instrument of pain on their dog. Your dog love you, do you want to repay it with torture?
DO NOT BUY! July 9, 2008 SteelGirrl (Albuquerque, NM) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased this product because it seemed more humane than a prong collar. I have no idea how well it works, I didn't get far enough to try it. It has to be taken apart to be put on/off the dog. It's incredibly awkward and difficult to take it apart; that alone makes it unusable. I hate the idea of trying to snap it off while it's on the dog. This is a really bad piece of designTriple Crown Large Dog Training Collar (large 21'' adjustable collar). On top of it all, they won't let me return it, a little detail that's somewhere on the page but not easy to find.
