I recently adopted a 10-month-old Shih Tzu puppy and was given a food bowl by the previous owner but needed a water bowl. I have been very pleased with this bowl in the month that we've been using it. I love that the insert comes out so that I can just take the insert to the sink and fill it vs. taking the whole bowl. It looks great, it works great, and I'm very happy that I chose this brand and this bowl.

OK, pet bowls might not be sexy but this one rocks. It's go a rubber base so it doesn't slide around and the base is solid feeling. The stainless steel dish comes out easily for filling or cleaning. It's all simple, clean and well designed. I bought the blue one for water and the black for food. Very clever! The medium size bowl is perfect for our cocker spaniel (23 lbs) but I'd go bigger for anything larger. The small bowls could be good for cats.

This pet food bowl is simply awesome. I ordered two of these for our four-month-old cat (one for food, one for water -- in addition to her Drinkwell fountain, which we keep in a different room), and we couldn't have asked for a better product. Although kittens younger than two months may have a hard time reaching this dish, it's the perfect size for both young and adult cats.
The best feature is that the stainless steel insert is removable, making the whole thing a breeze to clean. Just set the insert down on the black plastic base and pick it right back up when it's time to refill. The base has about 0.5 cm of grippy rubber around the perimeter, which you don't even see unless you're up close. Our kitty is an "enthusiastic" eater, and the bowl has never moved, tipped, or done anything other than stay put.
With its shiny black base and stainless insert, this bowl has a sleek and streamlined look -- very unlike those standard (read: eyesore) compartmentalized plastic food dishes. I'm just so pleased with these bowls that I want to buy a set for my parents, who are still using regular saucers for their cats.
