Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Protect yourself from dangerous dogs while cycling, walking, or jogging with the Ultrasonic Dog Repeller. It produces a high frequency sound that the human ear can not detect, yet it is able to deter vicious dogs without harming them. It's even safe enough to use for training dogs. To repel dogs, point unit directly at the dog and press the button for a few seconds. The ultrasonic sound should discourage the dog from approaching. Press the button for a longer period if necessary. Prime operating range is 5 to 6 feet, effective up to approximately 20 feet. Features a low battery indicator. Note: Do not use on human or within one foot range of a pet. Requires one 9 volt Alkaline battery.

5 out of 5 stars This ACTUALLY works!!   December 3, 2008
D. Poulin
This was by far the best few dollars ever spent. After trying to correct my dog from barking for the last four years, my sister-in-law told me to try this product as it worked on her Husky. It literally took TWO corrections! Now a simple 'No' (no shouting required) gets his attention. :-)

5 out of 5 stars Dog Trainer   October 16, 2008

We use the dog trainer mostly to keep loose dogs away from our leashed dog. He gets super excited when he sees other dogs, and is hard to control and wants to fight other dogs. It keeps about 50% of the dogs at bay.

5 out of 5 stars Works Great!   September 7, 2008

Bought one of these due to the neighbors dog barking at me and my kids everytime we are in our backyard. My wife tried to make friends with the dog a few months ago and got bit. The dog is a female mutt about 5 years old and weighing about 50 lbs. After I received the unit I put in a battery and headed outside. Immediately the dog ran to the fence and started barking and growling at me. I pointed the unit at the dog and pressed the button. The dog stopped barking turned it's head slightly to listen to the sound, and ran away with it's tail down! After doing this twice in a 2 day period the dog does not bark at us in the yard anymore! Anytime it sees me or my family it quietly goes back into their garage. We can finally enjoy our backyard without the constant barking noise! The noise is NOT audible to us at all. The other reviewers must have received a defective unit.

The product broke after only a few weeks of use. Did not repell dogs very well either.
