I love it because of the way its lid closes. Because the latch is connected to the lid (and not the base container as with most other products of this type) it closes with one easy, natural motion. Everyone in our house (including husbands!) presses it fully closed every single time. What good is a container that only one person is willing to close?
This container keeps pet food nice and fresh, and apparently the seal is odor-proof - our dogs don't sniff at the food inside until we unlatch it. Also keeps the food 100% pest-free, and is attractive enough to keep out and visible in the kitchen.
My only complaint is that it can be hard to identify the correct size to buy since pet food is sold by weight and Iris reports their containers' capacities in quarts. It pays to double-check before you end up choosing the wrong size.
If you are searching for them online or in stores, the important thing to look for is the "Iris" brand name.

Holds about 16 lbs. of any kind of food or seed. Different colored lids show what kind is in which container. Just right.
