finally a small filter! November 4, 2008 Debbie L. Needles (valdez, ak) Finally found a small permanent coffee filter that fits! We searched all over the state. I bought two filters online, one for my son and one for me. It works perfectly, saves money and the environment. Alaskan Gramma
yes, weak coffee September 6, 2008 Jenny Bradford I agree with previous reviewers, this filter creates weak coffee. Get the Mr. Coffee version of the same.
Does Not Fit Hamilton Beach HDC700S July 24, 2008 Birdzone (West Coast) The filter is so small that most of the water bypasses the filter. A phone call to Medelco was a waste of time.

I needed a small permanent coffee filter for my 4-cup Mr. Coffee. It fits perfectly and no coffee grounds leak out.
Rip off pricing and shipping April 6, 2008 Not A. Sucker (California) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
This filter has been for sale for 8.99 recently, but now other sites all lead only to here where it is suddenly selling for $16.99 ("down from $23.99" is BS), at twice the price. The larger 10 cup model only costs 9.99, is available everywhere. Then, insultingly, shipping weight is listed as a whopping lying 4 pounds. This item weighs 3 ounces (company website is honest at least). Isn't that illegal, to charge shipping costs based on fake weights? I know handling costs something, but that is in a different tax category - shipping "reimbursement" goes right into the seller's pocket as hidden profit. It probably costs 80 cents parcel post to send this item. They want to charge 10 times that amount when it is already marked up 175 percent! What gives? If sellers wanted to help the environment, they would make products such as this easily available, not take such gross advantage of people trying to change. This is called profiteering.
