Product not at all reliable - very disappointed. July 31, 2008 P. Fitzgerald (Westminster, MD USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I ordered two of a these units from "fjt3000". The first unit had a problem with the remote.. the seller replaced that unit and it's working now. The second unit started blowing it's fuse the second day I had it (I replaced the fuse several times).. the seller did not offer to replace the unit, but said he would credit my Amazon account for the $15.xx, which he promptly did. He said he did not want to replace the unit. Currently his unit price increased to $60 on Amazon. Both of the above units picked up ignition/alternator noise from the 4 different vehicles I used them in, a Ford Ranger, GMC Jimmy, Chevy Caprice. In the Honda Civic which has the radio antenna embedded in the rear window was not able to get a good signal from the MP3 player. The "clamshell" the units arrived in were not sealed. I suspect the units were "seconds" for referbished.
works good July 1, 2008 S. Simon (S. J. MI) got it to works well, plays very well, and haven't had a problem since they helped me with a few minor problems.
Works pretty good and looks great June 30, 2008 Paul E. Melby (Rochester, MN USA) This product seems to work very good for broadcating over FM. It sounds good and there are lot of stations to pick from. My only 2 complaints are when I use it with my MP3 Player. Hooking into the Headphone jack, it doesn't come across very loud so you have to turn up the radio really loud (but I think this is because of the MP3 player not this transmitter, but I was hoping it would work better). My only other complaint is that my MP3 player charges off of USB and I was hoping I could plug my MP3 player into this and have it charge while I used it, but it doesn't seem to provide enough current to charge it. Overall I would recommend it for the price. It works good.
very weak June 25, 2008 Jonel Semana The only problem is this sucker is not strong enough and all the frequency is overpowering it. Worst if your car antenna is at the back. The feature is great escpecially the equalizer but you better look for stronger modulator for extra bucks.
Good for the price, but does have some flaws May 25, 2008 TexasStorm (Dallas, TX) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This FM Transmitter works well. I can hear a slight high pitch hiss at high speeds in my car, but it is not very noticeable at all. The remote was not working, but it was replaced by the seller quickly and the new remote he sent worked fine. PROS: Accepts both USB flash drive and SD card for memory, has multiple channel tuning for large cities where it may be more difficult to find a non-used station, provides good sound quality over FM Transmission, and does not crackle at all. CONS: When using the USB or SD card memory slots, you cannot start over from the same location where you stopped/turned off the car previously and you can't even fast forward to the point you were at before you turn off the car or unplug the device from the power outlet. This is aggravating because you have to start all over on a lesson plan or song or whatever you are listening to from the beginning. It would be nice if you could fast forward (and reverse) through the file to where you wanted to be or if the device remembered where it was when it was turned off. Remote does not have a fast forward or reverse on it either - you are able to jump through files or go back through files - not through a file itself. This flaw may be overcome by using an MP3 player attached to the device with the included 3.5mm audio cable. Then you could use your player to reverse or FF through the songs/files to get to where you want to be.
