Better than hot leather August 11, 2008 P. Cartwright Doesn't work too bad at keeping you cool on those hot summer days, but as others have reported, the straps leave something to be desired. Mine haven't ripped off yet, so that's good news, but they aren't sturdy enough to hold the cushion in one place so it tends to slide around and need adjustment before you get into the car every time.
really helps with circulation August 4, 2008 Kat (Burbank, CA) Had previous one at least 5 yrs. Really helps to circulate air on the back and on the seat bottom (where air conditioning can just never reach). However, the top strap was too stretched on my car seat and cleanly ripped right off the cushion when a friend tried it out. Had shoemaker add 3 additional inches to both the upper and the lower straps. The longer straps also make it easier to remove the cushion for thorough car cleaning. Good idea.
Great purchase August 4, 2008 bellabella (Pleasantville, NJ United States) I bought this for my father because he takes long driving trips daily for work. He said it really helps keep him cool and keeps the air circulating. He was very pleased with the product.
Not a great deal August 1, 2008 Matthew mcknight (Rocklin, Ca) This product isn't a great deal. It works just ok as it barely keeps my back from being sweaty on those long rides. One of the elastic straps broke the same day that I first used it. I feel like I got ripped off but return shipping would have cost almost as much as the product in the first place so I didn't bother. Going to sell it at a garage sale -M
Great product... for the money July 30, 2008 H. P. Viator (Chapel Hill, NC)
I've have this ventilated seat cushion for a few months now in the heat and humidity of the south and it is still working great. The seat cushion has straps to hold it to the seat that some have complained about but I find that you don't even need the straps because the seat is stiff enough to hold itself up. So I just place the cushion on the seat, plug it in, turn the fan on high and then sit on it and my back stays sweat-free no matter how long I'm in the car. Overall, this product has surpassed my expectations considering it costs under $30.
