5 out of 5 stars Nikki, falsely accused, comes to the rescue of his master.   July 12, 1999

In this Disney classic, the hero, Nikki, comes to the aid of his master and saves the day. The film which is stunningly filmed in the outdoors, is appropriate for middle school aged children. The overt manipulation of emotions by the director at the end of the movie produces a heartwarming (and predictable to adults) ending. This is a must own video.

this is a great movie about a malamute pup who gets seperated from his owner (I'm a dog owner so every time I watch that part I want to cry) in the wilderness and the pup is tied to a black bear cub and they become best friends.Watch it!!!

5 out of 5 stars A lovely friendship between a malamute and a bear cub   March 6, 1999

I got this movie a year ago and I have already watched it about 40 times! It caught my eye because I have an obsession with Malamutes and this is the first movie I've seen with a malamute as the main star! This movie is about Nikki a malamute and Neewah a bear cub. Watch as Nikki and Neewah go through funny and moving adventures I really recomend this movie!

4 out of 5 stars Wilderness adventure in Canada   February 19, 1999

The film version of 'Nomads of the North' by James Oliver Curwood. This is a wonderful Canadian wilderness adventure between Nikki (Malemute) and Neewah (Black Bear Cub) and Andre Dupas, the trapper who found the bear cub. When Nikki and Neewah swim ashore after a canoe swamping, their adventure begins.

A great 1961 Disney wilderness adventure filmed near Banff, Alberta.
