Beautiful August 20, 2007 Gary Selikow (Great Kush) This is a beautiful soundtrack of a beautiful animated movie. It opens with the rich melodic voice of Mariah Carey and the symphonic vocals of Whitney Houston singing When You Believe. But even better is the version of When You Believe sung by Michelle Pfeiffer and Sally Dworsky (Track 14). Most beautiful was the lovely voices of the blessed Israeli children who sung an exquisite melody in Hebrew during the middle of Track 14. When you Believe is a beautiful inspring hope-filled song. Following on is Deliver Us, with it's operatic overtures and the voice of the exquisite nightingale of Israel, Ofra Haza (MHDSRIP). It also includes talented young actress Eden Riegel singing the song of hope blessing her baby brother Ofra Haza's beautiful voice also shines through in Goodbye Brother. I liked the uplifting Middle Eastern style Through Heaven's Eyes by Brian Stokes Mitchell, less so the contemporized R& B version sung by K-Ci and Jojo. There is the operatic dialogue of The Plagues sung by Ralph Fiennes and Amick Bryam, which is quite memorable. This is beautiful music and even if you don't like soundtracks this album is quite incredible.
NOT 100% original Soundtrack - CAREFUL! August 9, 2007 Chicago Diva (Chicago, IL United States) The titling of this CD works badly. Sure - it's music FROM the original movie, but it includes others' versions of sev'l songs, a HUGE disappointment to those who want the original film's singers -- "Through Heaven's Eyes" sung by Brian Stokes Mitchell, for example. The cover graphics are misleading, too, as they look the same as the "real" original soundtrack - not Amazon's fault. There are several versions of this "soundtrack" out there -- be VERY careful which you buy if you don't want the score sung by others than the original cast of the movie (Amazon does not seem to have the true original soundtrack, by the way.)
Wonderful Music! June 11, 2007 M. Thompson (CA) My 3 1/2 year old after watching the movie fell in love with the songs. She asks for me to play the CD for her almost daily. She enjoys singing to it. I enjoy being reminded that God is still fighting for us in our darkest moments.
Prince of Egypt music cd. May 30, 2007 SubCog (Vancouver, WA) The Prince of Egypt soundtrack is pure gold. Almost every song is homerun. We've listened to this disk many times and it never gets old. Keep in mind that several of the songs express powerful religious themes.

This Soundtrack appeals to both me and my 7 year old daughter as well as my teenage neices. The music is powerful and beautiful. A permanent addition to my music collection.
