5 out of 5 stars Miracle Maker video   February 28, 2008
Wendy Phillips (Harrodsburg,KY)
This video was well liked by our children in our church. It was a great visual for the children to see the life of Jesus!!

5 out of 5 stars A Pastor's Dream   February 13, 2008
Corum Seth Smith (Hendersonville, NC USA)
This movie is a great movie to show at your church. It is a great compilation of the four Gospels. Basically the movie is delivered in a "claymation" format, with a few animated interludes.

The movie, quite simply, is a presentation of what the life of Jesus was like based upon the four Gospels. There are times where the filmmakers may have to create a few transitions that aren't strictly Biblical. For instance, we don't know that Jairus' daughter watched Jesus as a carpenter (as portrayed in the opening scene); yet based upon what we do know, it is very plausible.

So overall, this movie is written and produced with the DEEPEST respect for Jesus as presented in the Bible. NT Wright, the only orthodox NT scholar I was allowed to read in my Divinity School, was one of the main advisors on this project. With all the "Last Temptations of Christ" and "Jesus Christ Superstars" out there, this movie is a huge breath of fresh air.

As a pastor, I find this movie an exceptional teaching tool. It allows people to see and feel the Jesus story in its proper historical context. The voiceovers are superb and most of the best Bible stories (the temptation of Christ, the Good Samaritan, Lazarus' resurrection)are included. Furthermore, rather than taking a slice of Jesus' life, like the "Passion," it is a whole telling of the New Testament story. This movie is arguably the best Jesus movie to exist right now.

5 out of 5 stars As good as can be   December 14, 2007

I really like the music, the gestures, the sometimes very subtle expressions and humor. Watch it frame by frame!

5 out of 5 stars A Gospel Masterpiece   October 29, 2007
E. Y. Strickler (Woodland, WA)
A masterpiece! The combination of supremely talented actors, artists, and story-tellers have captured the Spirit of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God through this touching portrayal of Christ living and giving His Life for all! A powerful message to believe and keep on believing!

1 out of 5 stars the miracle maker-What a disgrace of a movie, not Christian at all.   October 17, 2007

this movie is by far the worst I have ever seen, its unbiblical, holds no water what so ever, I would not want my kids seeing this type of rediculous movie, for one its not Christian, 2 peter is called the "rock" instead of Christ, he also said that upon peter the church (which is the *elect* or *called out ones* those who are born again in Christ that is by the way)will be built, why would GOD build his church upon a fallible man instead of building it upon the massive giant rock which is him, the Christ the son of the living God? also if you read where it says "thou art peter, upon this rock I will build my church" if you also read a few verses before that, its made clear that the foundation which is laid is upon Christ, so how can it be peter? the scriptures are clear on that one so to say that peter is the rock is completely a contradiction and completely unscriptural,it doesnt say upon you peter I will build my church, complete add on, not bible, its blasphemy.... many verses are left out completely, the verse where Jesus says "it is written man shall not live by bread alone but by every word of GOD" that is completely missing, it only states it is written man shall not live by bread alone, what happened to the rest of the verse?? This is such a dissapointment for a movie, I would suggest you to not even buy it because it is a waste of money and time. Also another part in the movie where they ask Jesus, what must I do to be saved? and he answered to love your neighbor, how does loving your neighbor, take you to heaven? We cant do nothing in our part to be saved it is a gift from God, the finished work of the cross has nothing to do with loving "our neighbor" completely unbiblical, if it were up to me I would put a zero for ratings, why not take it out of the bible instead of adding so much and taking away from the scriptures, its a shame that there cant be a movie made without being completely destroyed and corrupted by mans fallible mind. Kids see these types of movies and yet they can get the wrong message out of it, its about spreading the truth not sugar coating it to suit people or to please people but to please God. Another part I disliked about the movie was with mary and martha, Jesus never told martha to take it easy, infact when martha complained at Jesus about mary because she was not helping her but instead she was listening to Jesus's words and what did he say "Luke 10:41-42..And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her. Sadly they left this part out also, once again this joke of a movie holds no water what so ever, I wouldnt recommend it to anyone a true Christian would not agree to such a movie as this, Gods word is important and not to be played with at all, or taken from or added too... what a dissapointment.
