Customer Reviews:
3 out of 5 stars well-priced,well-written but limited by lack of pictures   February 17, 2002
Deborah A. O'reilly (Thornbury, Victoria Australia)
While this book is excellent value, the lack of photos and illustrations reduces its value to the average reader. I found little use in being told in great detail about the various parasites without being shown what they look like. I would have prefered to have paid a little more for illustrations. The author should have been guided by the old adage, " a picture is worth a thousand words".

1 out of 5 stars Beware   December 25, 1999

Some parasitic infections (like heartworm for example) can be deadly for your pet. While herbal remedies may have a place in certain aspects of veterinary medicine, please visist your vet if you think your pet may be suffering from a parasitic illness. Waiting too long may make it too late!

5 out of 5 stars Getting a handle on the bugs   September 24, 1999

Having an indoor / outdoor dog means all to regular bouts with critters best left OUTSIDE!! Worse yet is when they get on his insides. This book is very easy to read, yet covers every worm and icky thing my dog has become infested with yet. There is more detail in here than I ever want to know, but it is plain spoken and simple to follow. The herbal remedies given make sense and are explained in good detail. Ms. Newman has a very freindly, down to earth writing style that makes this easy to read through and remember.
