Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Veterinary practitioners who care for small animals are faced daily with the challenge of managing emergency and critical care situations. The correct treatment must be undertaken speedily, with life-threatening problems dealt with first. This collection of over 200 randomly organized cases in the form of integrated questions, illustrations and explanations allows readers to test their skills in emergency situations--making rapid decisions and diagnostic and treatment plans. Detailed explanatory answers are provided to guide readers through each clinical situation.

Written by a highly skilled team of authors from around the world, the book covers most aspects of emergency and critical care medicine (in which a coordinated teaching approach to patient care is needed). It will be invaluable for veterinary practitioners, new graduates, technicians, students and examination candidates.

Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars a great book for students and beginning vets!   June 9, 2001

I used this book as a student during my emergency rotation and to study for exams. I've also used it as a vet - it's a great way to review material. it's fun! the questions are accompanied by color pictures (though some are dificult to interpret due to their smallish size), and the answers are comprehensive. I highly reccomend this book to final year vet students!
