Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
This is the fifth volume in a set of concise, well-illustrated and authoritative studies of natural and experimental lesions of laboratory animals arranged according to organ systems. The series aims at providing information useful to pathologists, especially those involved in studies on the safety of foods, drugs, chemicals and other substances in the environment. In this volume on the genital system, foremost consideration is given to the microscopic and ultrastructural features of a lesion that are particularly useful to the pathologist for definite diagnosis. Diagnostic terms preferred by the author and editors are used as the subject heading for each pathologic lesion, and the problems arising in differential diagnosis of similar lesions are covered in detail. The biologic significance of each pathologic lesion is considered under such headings as etiology, natural history, pathogenesis, and frequency of occurance under natural or experimental conditions. The text is enhanced by excellent illustrations, useful references and a comprehensive index. 1
