| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description This unique, comprehensive text covers systemic pathology of common domestic animals. Organized by body systems, the chapters include alimentary, liver and pancreas, respiratory, cardiovascular, urinary, endocrine, hemopoietic, central nervous system, muscle, skeletal, integumentary, male and female reproductive systems, and eye and ear. Each chapter begins with a brief review of basic principles of anatomy, structure and function, followed by congenital and functional abnormalities and discussions of viral, bacterial and parasitic infections and neoplasia. Special Veterinary Pathology remains the only veterinary book devoted solely to systemic pathology.

great book February 24, 2006 Jason Doukas 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Book is very helpful. My professor for Special Path is Dr. Zachary who is one of the authors. Great addition to his lecture material
student's opinion June 28, 2005 Amanda Cownie (Columbia, Missouri) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a great book, but some of the pics need color to more be useful. The text from this book combined with the photography work of the Color Atlas of Veterinary Histology would make an ideal book.
good text but lacks colour March 28, 2000 10 out of 12 found this review helpful
This is a very good and concise textbook. However I think it is a big minus that all the pictures are in black and white. Colour pictures are extremely important for students of pathology!
Thorough, yet concise and accurate May 4, 1999 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is an excellent reference book for pathology students of any specialty. There are good examples and descriptions of each topic, and the book is well organized, making it easy to search for a specific topic.
very good text book January 26, 1998 2 out of 6 found this review helpful
It is a very good text book, but the pictures would be colored. Color pictures are important for the patologist veterinary and for the students.
