great reference resource June 29, 2008 R. Morgan (Mountain View, CA, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Probably my favorite thing about this book (after the excellent photo illustrations) is the chapter on tying knots. Even after spending 3 years as a Cub Scout Den Leader, I had trouble with a few knots. The photos and directions made it all simple. I also like the fact that both large and small animals, including exotics, are in one resource. I can pretty much restrain any dog and most cats, but hadn't a clue about some of the larger ones until this book.
Excellent illustrations February 2, 2008 Aleta M. Davalos (Cape Cod, Ma.) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Animal Restraint for Veterinary Professionals is a great book for veterinary assistants just starting out. It is also an excellent reference for all personnel in the animal field because sometimes basic knowledge is forgotten. This book has great illustrations and explainations of exactly how to safely hold every type of animal.
