Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Handbook of Veterinary Nursing provides the veterinary nurse with a quick reference point for many of the nursing procedures he or she may come across in the clinical setting. It provides clear and concise written instructions supported by diagrams and photographs which will be of benefit to veterinary nurses at all stages of their training and career. It will be particularly useful to those nurses studying for their RCVS Level Three Oral and Practical examinations.

The book is laid out in note form and information is quick and easy to find with the use of bullets and tables. The emphasis is on the importance of working methodologically to a systematic routine using high quality procedures, thus helping the whole veterinary team ensure the most successful outcomes in animal care.

5 out of 5 stars FOR THOSE IN THE VETERINARY FIELD   July 10, 2007
This book is full on information from A-Z. It contains detalied charts of medications, measurements, and illustrations of procedures and devices. This book will be helpful to Experinced Veterinary Assistants or Technicians. This book explains how to clip nails, set up anaesthesia charts, emergency care and first aid, blood test, fecal tests, laboratory the Veterinary Assistant field.

For those who are in the entry-level of Veterinary field, I recommand "Tasks for Veterinary Assistants" or "Vet Assistant/Vet Technician Practice Training Guide." These two books come with a interactive cd-roms with how-to-videos and a board range of work settings in a Veterinary Clinic. Please look more into these books that will fit you best. I only recommand the best for you. Good luck into your succesful future .
